This study aims to determine the interaction between the different varieties and treatment stratification, the effect of different varieties and the effect of treatment stratification on early seedling growth of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.). The research was carried out in the garden in the village mothers Istiqomah Kauman Blitar City in May to July 2012. The design used was a randomized block design (RBD) with two factors namely Factor A, Variety (V) there are two levels: V1: BL sugarcane varieties and V2: sugarcane varieties Ps 864, while Factor B, Treatment Stratification (P) there are four levels: P0: without soaking, P1: Soaked with water at a temperature of 51ēC for 10 min, P2: Soaked with water at a temperature of 51ēC for 20 min and P3: Soaked with water at a temperature of 51°C for 30 min. Parameter study: percentage grow seedlings, plant height, stem diameter, leaf number and root length. Results: a). The existence of a real interaction that BL varieties are soaked with water at a temperature of 51ēC for 20 minutes (V1P2) on plant height at umur 20 dap and 40 dap, b). Varieties of BL (V1) significantly affect plant height age 20 HST, but no significant effect on all parameters of observations and c). Without treatment immersion (PO) significantly affect the percentage grow seedlings age 20 HST and immersion treatments at temperatures 51°C for 20 min (P2) significantly affect plant height age 20 dap, 30 dap and 40 dap and effect on root length age 40 HST.
