Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) is one of the most important producers of calories in the tropics. This plant is efficient in carbohydrate production, adapted to various environments and tolerant to drought and soil acidity. The major part of the economic products, roots, is consumed as human food after processing. An estimated 70 million people get more than 500 kcal / day of cassava, and more than 500 million people consume more than 100 kcal / day in various forms throughout the tropical cassava. Fresh for human consumption declined, while its use for feed and processing industry increased rapidly. Thus there is a demand to increase cassava productivity so that will achieve high productivity in the industry, including the production of tapioca starch and biofuels (bio-ethanol). Improved of cassava cultivars is one of the easiest to encourage better farm management, which in turn will lead to an increase in agricultural productivity and income.Problems varieties of the prospects in the fields of tapioca and biofuels industry lies in the potential production of starch varieties are to be converted into flour or biofuels. The varieties were have lower of conversion value of a raw material is better than others.
